Our story
Sanchaari — the one who journeys. What started as fieldwork among artisan clusters and indigenous communities became a way to connect the people who carry a heritage with the markets that value it.
The founder
“I didn’t arrive at Sanchaari from a business thesis alone… I started testing the idea in 2020… The more I explored, the bigger the vision became.”
Kanthi Ganapathi, Founder & CEO
What we mean
Protect endangered craft traditions through verified, valued commerce — so a technique is worth carrying into the next generation.
Return economic agency to artisans, tribes and women-led communities: named makers, published shares, prices they set themselves.
Connect conscious buyers worldwide to the living stories behind every craft — and let those stories travel further than a single sale.

From the field
“We began by sitting beside the loom — listening, and drawing the method from the makers themselves.”
The team
Founder & CEO
Combines deep grassroots access with international enterprise-technology experience. Lived abroad and embedded herself within indigenous tribes and artisan clusters, launched a boutique retail pilot to validate demand, and co-founded a sustainability venture — with a corporate technical background leading cross-border projects.
Co-Founder & CTO
Founder of SigmaTech, building production-level LLMs and enterprise AI. At Sanchaari he applies AI and machine learning to automate product documentation and communication with decentralised artisan clusters.
Advisor, Africa Expansion
Rooted in Malawi and an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington, with community ties across Malawi and Zambia that ground Sanchaari’s work on the continent.
I don’t want to build this alone
“The question isn’t whether we can work together. It’s whether we believe strongly enough in the same future to build it together.”
