Jaipur, Rajasthan
A Jaipur family that has kept the Jaipur School of miniature painting for six generations — passed from parent to child, and through the women of the family as well as the men: the grandmother of the present generation was herself a skilled miniature painter. For three decades the family has demonstrated the craft at the City Palace Museum, Jaipur, to visitors from India and around the world.
